Owners Dave and Ingrid have put a lot of thought into ensuring that guests are kept comfy at this peaceful and popular little site: as well as a good range of accommodation options, guests have access to a fully-equipped and cute-looking social area, all hand-built and including a kitchen with fridge, kettle, utensils, pots and microwave.

Kingfisher Yurt

Kingfisher is a beautiful bespoke Yurt, brand new at Colemere Caravan Park and built to the highest specification. It is spacious, full of character with its steam bent ash frame, insulated to maximize warmth and comfort. It has a solid oak double bed, helping you to feel relaxed and at home to enjoy the picturesque lakeside location. You even have the home comforts, including a TV, tea & coffee making facilities, comfortable seating and bean bags inside and out.

Handbuilt Pods
"Otter" and "Badger"

Both of our pods, handbuilt by ourselves in 2014, are fully insulated, double glazed and have mains electricity and TV. Inside, the wooden floor and roof arches around giving a warm Nordic feel. No matter what time of year you'll feel lovely and warm due to triple insulation and soft glow LED lights in each corner.

Shepherd Hut

Jacob’s Shepherd Hut is the latest edition to Colemere Caravan Park. Handcrafted to a high standard. It can accommodate two persons containing electricity, double glazed windows, heating, double bed, sofa, and Television, tea and coffee making facilities. There is an outside decking area facing the lake of Colemere.

Space for Caravans, Tents and more

Colemere Caravan Park can accommodate Caravans, Camper Vans, Tents and Motorhomes. Guests can choose from an electric serviced pitch or a non electric pitch by a lake side location. There are toilets and showers on site with a social/kitchen area equipped with TV, Micro wave oven, kettle, toaster, fridge with utensils and cutlery to use.

  • Pontcysyllte Aquedcut [25 Minute Drive] - LL20 7TG Dare you cross it? And can you do it without looking down? You can walk across Pontcysyllte, or save your legs and take a leisurely boat ride. But there's one thing you have to take with you. A camera. The views are something else.

  • Rodneys Pillar [30 Minute Drive] - SY5 The Breidden is a volcanic feature, which dominates the area and stands over 1200ft high. Footpaths lead up to the summit with wonderful views of Shropshire & Wales. There are remains of an old hill fort en route which may have been the site of the last stand of Caractacus. Rodney’s Pillar at the top was built by the gentlemen of Montgomeryshire who supplied oak from the area & shipped them down the river Severn to Bristol where Admiral Rodney’s fleet was built.
